Yieldmo was founded in June 2012 to build the most desirable and effective ad tech platform for the mobile web and app ecosystem. The founding team saw an opportunity to correct bad habits and frustrating user experiences that had proliferated in desktop advertising and were passed down to the mobile screen.
Yieldmo has built a team of curious thinkers and innovators with a mission to improve the experience of mobile media, generate revenue for publishers’ mobile content, and deliver performance for marketers reaching an increasingly mobile audience.
Yieldmo launched its first ad in Fall 2012 and today reaches over 80% of the smartphone users in the United States across over 1000+ premium publisher sites and apps.
Prior to starting Yieldmo, the founding team had built a successful ad tech company for desktop called Quigo (acquired by AOL in 2007.) Yieldmo brings together many former Quigo colleagues along with industry leaders aiming to create profound change on the mobile platform.
Michael Yavonditte founded Yieldmo in 2012. He been deeply engaged in digital media technology since the early days of web publishing and digital marketing. Prior to Yieldmo, Michael was CEO of Quigo, delivering ad tech for desktop monetization of premium publishers (acquired by AOL in 2007).
Rick is a co-founder and CFO at Yieldmo, responsible for its finance, legal, human resources and administration functions. He has over 25 years of experience managing fast-growing technology companies.
Prior to Yieldmo, Rick’s experience includes stints as CFO of several NYC startups, including Quigo Technologies, a creator of auction-based advertising marketplaces, which was acquired by Time Warner’s AOL unit (NYSE: TWX) in December 2007 and Juno Online Services, one of the nation’s leading Internet Service Providers, which IPO’d in 1999 and then merged with Netzero in 2001 to form United Online, Inc. (Nasdaq: UNTD).
Earlier experience includes controllership positions with business-to-business software companies, Including J.D. Edwards. Rick founded his career with seven years at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Rick is a summa cum laude graduate from Pace University’s accelerated combined MBA/BBA program in public accounting and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Teddy is Head of Product and is a co-founder at Yieldmo. His responsibilities include building the Yieldmo product team and defining product strategy. Teddy was one of the principal product architects of Quigo, an early digital ad exchange marketplace sold to AOL. Prior to AOL and Quigo, Teddy held various product positions at Yahoo and Hotjobs.com.
Teddy graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, where he eventually plans to relocate so he can be closer to his favorite food and music.
Todd Coleman is a co-founder of Yieldmo, Inc. and serves as Chief Technology Officer. Todd has deep experience building ad tech platforms and worked closely with the rest of the Yieldmo founding team during his tenure at Quigo Technologies, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer.
Prior to Quigo Todd worked for Columbia House and Tallan enterprise consultants. He received his Masters in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and undergraduate degrees in both business and CS from the University of Missouri Columbia.
Tom Foran joined Yieldmo in July of 2015. He leads the teams responsible for sales, account management, operations, product and technology.
Prior to Yieldmo, Tom was global Chief Revenue Officer at Outbrain with a team of over 200 employees across 11 countries. During his tenure, Outbrain experienced rapid growth in revenue alongside growth in active marketers and publisher partners.
Prior to Outbrain, At Quigo, Tom was GM of Ad Sales & Operations. He played an instrumental role in driving the company’s rapid growth. Tom’s 20 years in digital media include time at NBCi, Yahoo! and Ziff Davis. He graduated summa cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University.
Chip is Head of Sales at Yieldmo and brings more than fifteen years of online marketing experience across desktop, mobile, market research, and analytics.
Prior to joining Yieldmo, Chip led National Sales and Business Development for MBuy, a media buying technology and service division of Mediaocean. He also spent time at Groupon where he managed Groupon’s National Sales business across the Central and West Regions.
Chip spent over 5 years at Yahoo! and in his last role he led sales for Yahoo!’s US Performance Display business, where he worked with leading advertisers and agency trading desks to evolve performance based media solutions.
Chip started his career in market research and spent time at both IRI Symphony and comScore where he helped to develop custom solutions across leading verticals online. Chip is holds a B.S. in Marketing from Bentley University.
David is Head of Design at Yieldmo, leading the Ad Format Lab in developing new ad formats and platform products. Prior to Yieldmo, David was a Senior Design Lead at IDEO, a global design and innovation firm. He led project teams for companies like Timberland, United States Institute of Peace, P&G, Fidelity, and other notable organizations.
David regularly taught classes and workshops at Harvard, MIT, Yale, and other institutions hoping to empower students to be Makers and pursue Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking. He holds a Master’s Degree in Product Design from Stanford University.
David has an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University and has also worked on hypersonic rail guns and unmanned aircraft. He loves factory tours, found art, and esoterica.
Dan is the Head of Operations at Yieldmo, overseeing strategy, delivery and growth for all managed advertiser and publishers on the Yieldmo platform.
Prior to joining Yieldmo, Dan was Vice President of Sales at Luminate, an interactive image technology firm. Dan spent 2 years at news aggregator Digg, where he led sales and helped to pioneer their native ad product called Digg Ads.
He has also held sales roles of increasing responsibility at Yahoo!, CNET Networks, and Ziff-Davis Publishing. Dan holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
With more than 15 years of digital experience, Scott is EVP of Business Development at Yieldmo leading all strategic activities with our Publisher partners. He was the 4th employee hired in July, 2012.
Just prior to joining Yieldmo, Scott was head of business development at Vizu leading all non-sales driven initiatives including strategic relationships with Google, Liverail, Innovid, Adap.tv and others. Vizu was acquired by Nielsen in July, 2012. Scott has also held executive roles at tech companies including; drop.io, a file sharing platform acquired by Facebook in 2010, News Corp where he lead all business development activities across the Fox Interactive properties, and IGN Entertainment which was acquired by News Corp for $650 million in 2005.
Tarmi is a versatile business executive and corporate lawyer with a focus on emerging companies and technologies. She has experience advising on general legal matters involving all aspects of mobile, web and software business, including license and technology agreements, privacy, product and marketing compliance, sale of subsidiary, acquisitions, employment matters, real estate and finance.
Prior to Yieldmo, she was the VP of Legal Affairs for TheLadders, an online job matching service for professionals. Tarmi holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA from Purchase College, State University of New York.
Additionally, she is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a certificate rating by the Human Resource Certification Institute.
