Meet the Yieldmates: Sophia Su

Sophia Su on Problem Solving and Platform Innovation

In our Meet the Yieldmates series, we spotlight the people who bring energy, creativity, and collaboration to life at Yieldmo. This month, meet Sophia Su, AVP of Platform Solutions based in New York City. One thing everyone knows about Sophia is she loves a good problem and loves even more to create different ways to solve it.

Sophia runs on complexity. While most people hear “the advertising industry is constantly evolving” and reach for a stress ball (or cocktail), Sophia hears it and thinks: keep it coming. She’s drawn to platform solutions because it’s where sharp thinking meets real impact, and frankly, where the fun is.

What she’s most proud of at Yieldmo is helping build and grow YMax, Yieldmo’s contextual platform. She’s been able to watch the product gain real traction, specifically through bespoke sports offerings that bring smarter, more relevant experiences to brands and fans alike. This has been no small feat.

When asked to describe her team, she gives you three words: passionate, innovative, agile. Since her team is the direct route for operations on Yieldmo’s forward-thinking technological advancements, it only makes sense that her team fulfills these qualities.

Her favorite team memory comes from one of Yieldmo’s infamous offsites. At the June 2024 offsite in Denver, Chief Commercial Officer Dan Contento organized an ice breaker where each teammate received an anonymized card with one real fact and one fake fact about a colleague, and had to figure out who the card was for and which fact was actually true. The twist of the event: all the so-called “fake facts” turned out to be real facts about Dan. Every. Single. One.

Every Yieldmate has a story. Ready to start yours?
